Address
Via Cristoforo Colombo, 45 - Napoli

A masterpiece of modern architecture and design overlooking the harbour, Romeo is Naples' first five star luxury hotel and the first design hotel that has been opened in the heart of the city.

The art of luxury

A spectacular explosion of light, Romeo Hotel's steel and glass facade has been designed by Kenzo Tange & Associates, the leading Japanese architectural firm, responsible for the restructuring of Naples' old Palazzo Lauro.

Romeo houses an impressive collection of contemporary art, including works realized especially for the hotel by Francesco Clemente, Lello Esposito, and Sergio Fermariello

Public and private pleasures

In the hotel's public areas, Hermès' chairs alternate with the armchairs designed by Philppe Starck and Antonio Citterio's B&B furniture and rare antique items dating from the 14th to 18th century.
Romeo Hotel offers 83 luxurious guest rooms, including 24 wonderfully spacious suites overlooking the sea and Mount Vesuvius.

Sushi and spa

Artistic and exuberant, a perfect combination of rigor and modernity, the Romeo hotel's Lobby is a large and refined lounge with sofas and armchairs of design, fireplace, prestigious art collections, Cigar Room, Library, il Salotto dei Giochi, the new game room with pool table and vintage Juke Box, and finally the well-known Sushi Bar & Restaurant.

The ultimate and urban SPA Dogana del Sale, located at the basement of the hotel, offers a wide range of massages and personalized face and body treatments.

Life on the top

Romeo's "Il Comandante" restaurant located on the rooftop of the hotel, enjoys stunning views over the Bay of Naples and the island of Capri. It welcomes guests in an elegant and refined atmosphere and offers a cuisine that takes its inspiration from the territory and interprets the rich culinary tradition in a contemporary way.

With a panoramic terrace and pool, the ninth floor of the hotel provides the perfect location for the most exclusive gala dinners, special events and elegant weddings.

Everything was great

The design features of the hotel are certainly memorable. Rooms and Common areas were extremely clean. We had no issues using the unique room features, and there were no significant issues with room functions or maintenance. The Bed and linens were comfortable. I had read some negative reviews of the hotel prior to booking, and noticed that some of the complaints had been addressed. Staff was friendly and attentive when approached. They showed an effort to anticipate our needs in a couple of instances, which is what I think sets apart a high quality hotel. Breakfast was presented in the hotel’s new restaurant. With it’s attentive staff and , quite honestly, the highest quality food that I have ever had at a hotel, it almost felt like they were auditioning for a restaurant award. Overall a very positive experience. I would recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Good Napoli hotel

Good hotel with a very beautiful view especially from the Alain Ducasse restaurant for diner or breakfast. The rooms are nice. At first view of the lobby, you found it strange that mix of Asian restaurant decoration in Napoli (personal opinion). We got a connecting rooms fairly. Negative points is that the bathroom is not not bb separated and you have it within the room. It look like you in a P*** room movie as cleanable easily (personal view). The breakfast is tasty, the personnel a bit distracted but good in general. The positive points and needs to be highlighted is the gym, the place is very big and has a lot of sport machines (appreciated).

Never disappointed when we stay at Romeo

When in Naples we always stay at Romeo. This is for various reasons: 1) the location is near but not in the middle of the bustling tourist areas (we would go crazy staying in the crowded, wall-to-wall-people area of the historic center). It's 20 minutes on foot to the furthest popular sites and just around the corner from the Castel Nuovo. This makes for a nice respite after a long day wandering Naples. 2) The staff is always attentive. 3) They have safe, monitored parking (very important in Naples) 4) breakfast is absolutely wonderful 5) One big plus for me is that the first floor has a cigar lounge (don't worry. it has two sets of doors for patrons to go through so the smell never gets into the lobby). As someone who enjoys one cigar each night after dinner and before turning in for the night, this is especially welcome as it becomes increasingly difficult to find indoor spaces for smoking. 6) and we especially love the spa. We seem to have the ability to go at non-peak hours, as we usually have the spa all to ourselves. It's small, but has what we need and enjoy. The area around Romeo is not picaresque; the harbor opposite the hotel is a working dock and so also not very picaresque. But you have good views of Vesuvius from the rooms and especially from the dining room during breakfast. This is the one trade-off on location. There are two restaurants in the hotel which makes it convenient if you do not wish to venture out for meals.

Spectacular Modern Artistic Hotel with Outstanding Service - Beautiful and Elegant, Yet Remarkably Comfortable

I rarely write hotel reviews unless I believe the ratings are unfairly positive or excessively critical. Romeo Napoli deserves accolades for being among the best hotels in Italy. Indeed, the reviews are generally good. However, my wife and I believe the hotel and its excellent staff deserve a few superlatives. From the moment you enter this beautiful modern hotel, you anticipate that the experience will be unique. From the lobby to the restaurants, spa, and common areas, it is well-designed and tantalizes the senses. The rooms are spacious, inviting, and remarkably comfortable. The mattress is excellent - firm and supportive, yet luxurious. The down pillows and powerful A/C provided my wife and I with the best nights of sleep during our three weeks in Italy. We are diamond members at Hilton, and we were treated extremely well during our five-night stay in Napoli. The modern see-through pool on the 10th floor provides wonderful views of the coast and the nearby fort. The service is top-notch. As diamond members, breakfast is included, but I would have gladly paid for the daily breakfast on the 9th floor. It is simply the best overall breakfast we have encountered - period. The presentation, service, and taste of each of the dishes is fantastic. The hotel utilizes the Michelin-star rated restaurant for breakfast, and the creativity and taste profile come through. Even something basic such as "avocado toast" is creative, delicious, and different from any we have ever had. The portion size is excellent and allows guests to try multiple dishes, all of which are outstanding. It is not hyperbole to say the cappuccino is the best we have had (and in Italy that is saying something). The view for breakfast is picturesque overlooking the port and Mt. Vesuvius is ever present. The spa has a broad array of services, but the modern amenities such as an ice bath adjacent to two hot tubs, several therapy pools, wet and dry saunas, and a salt room provide health aficionados ample opportunity to unwind after a day of sight-seeing. The gym is well-equipped with machines, free weights, and an array of cardio equipment and the facilities are first-rate as we came to expect at the Romeo. The location of the hotel is perfect - central, but just outside the most crowded touristy areas, but within easy walking distance. And being located on the water provides great views and ambiance. If you plan a trip to Naples and you are considering an excellent upscale hotel, we can recommend the Romeo more enthusiastically. We are already anticipating our return in the next year or two.

Map

Romeo Hotel is situated in the heart of Naples, in front of the cruise terminal and harbour where ferries depart for the '''Gulf of Naples and its islandsììì.

In walking distance from the hotel you can find some of Naples' most interesting sites, such as the Castelnuovo (also known as the Maschio Angioino), Piazza del Plebiscito, the Galleria Umberto I, the San Carlo Theatre, the Santa Chiara Monastery and the picturesque alleyways of the historic center.
Thanks to the central position close to the harbour, the Romeo hotel is the ideal starting basis from where to set off on a guided tour of the city or trips to the nearby archaeological site of Pompei, Mount Vesuvius, the Amalfi Coast, and the enchanting islands of the bay of Naples.
