Traffic in Naples
The main traffic arteries in and around Naples,
are also the main retail and commercial business areas. Business areas
border the majority of Tamiami (US 41), Pine
Ridge and Airport Road. These roads are three lanes wide with dividing
boulevards offering numerous turning lanes.
Ten months out of the year Naples traffic is
normal, but it does turn heavy at times during the very peak parts of the
season.

Traffic Tips |

U-Turns will become your
friend. Except where posted they are allowed at many intersections and
turn lanes within boulevards. |

When needing to turn left
from a side street, it can be quicker to make a right turn, and
then when safe make a U-Turn back. |

Let someone else drive. |

Trail = Tamiami Trail North = Tamiami Trail East |

When you get the green
light, make sure the intersection clears before proceeding
through. There are long waits at many lights, and some people
will make
a run for it when seeing yellow. |

Keep an eye open for
the occasional vehicle making what should be three separate lane changes, into one
quick three lane move. |
